Sidetracking is a high-precision well intervention technique that restores or significantly enhances well productivity without the need to drill a new wellbore. Casing Window Milling
Using advanced whipstocks equipped with either mechanical or hydraulic anchors, along with precision-engineered milling tools, we ensure accurate, safe, and efficient window milling in production casing. Our solutions are fully adaptable to directional and horizontal wells - even under complex downhole conditions.
Rathole Drilling
Window milling is followed by drilling a rathole - a cavity beyond the casing window - to establish a stable kickoff point for the new sidetrack. This operation employs a custom-selected mill tailored to the specific geological conditions of the well.
We drill the new lateral with a precisely controlled trajectory, designed to bypass problematic intervals and drilling-in new productive formations. This technology is especially effective in cases of:
- Flooding of the main wellbore
- Mechanical damage to the drill string
- Reservoir depletion
- The need to re-enter previously undeveloped formations
