Pilot mill
The pilot mill is designed for milling stuck or jammed tubing, drill pipe, and other downhole obstructions during workover and remediation operations in oil, gas, and geological exploration wells.
The mill body and pilot section are manufactured from high-strength alloy steel. The mill integrates two types of cutting structures: carbide cutting inserts for aggressive metal removal, and cutting-abrasive matrix composed of crushed tungsten carbide embedded in a nickel-containing brass. The upper end features a standard threaded connection for integration into the drill string. Drilling fluid circulates through ports in both the pilot section and the end face.
