Skirted Mill

The skirted mill is designed for centering and subsequent milling of stuck or jammed tubing, drill pipe, and other downhole obstructions in oil, gas, and geological exploration wells. The mill is manufactured from high-strength alloy tubing steel. The tool assembly consists of two connected units: a bowl and a junk mill (JM). The cutting face features a cutting-abrasive matrix composed of crushed tungsten carbide particles embedded in a nickel-containing brass binder. The upper end features a standard threaded connection for integration into the drill string. Drilling fluid circulates through ports in the cutting face, providing effective cooling and efficient removal of cuttings.
