Inline Filter (IF)

The inline filter (IF) is designed to remove mechanical impurities from drilling mud to prevent damage to downhole tools, MWD/LWD systems, and mud motors and to distribute fluid flow evenly to minimize abrasive wear on the inner surface of drill pipe. DESIGN FEATURES The filter consists of a cylindrical body, a sub, a slotted filter tube, an upper support, a lower support, and a collet plug. The slotted filter tube is threaded onto both the upper and lower supports. The collet plug is inserted into the upper support, and the entire assembly is then installed inside the filter body. If required the collet plug can be removed to provide access through the tool during well workover. Connection to the drill string is achieved via rotary shouldered thread, located on the upper end of the body and the lower end of the sub. The inline filter can be additionally supplied with the following components: - filter tube; - upper support; - lower support; - collet plug.
